BLUFF AUSTRALASIA ANNOUNCES MERGER WITH POKERNEWS

Bluff Australasia Pty Ltd is delighted to announce the merger between Bluff Australasia magazine and PokerNews (Australia, Asia & Pacific) magazine, effective immediately.

The magazine will continue under the PokerNews (Australia, Asia & Pacific) banner. Bluff Australasia magazine will no longer be published.

The merged entity will also be responsible for the management and operation of PokerNetwork (www.pokernetwork.com), Australia’s leading poker website.

Sean Callander will take on the role of publisher for PokerNews (Australia, Asia & Pacific) magazine and PokerNetwork. Kirsty Mullins will remain the editor for PokerNews (Australia, Asia, and Pacific), Heath Chick will remain the editor for PokerNetwork, and Stephen Doig will become the general manager of PokerNews (Australia, Asia, and Pacific).

Callander said the merging of Bluff Australasia and PokerNews (Australia, Asia & Pacific) brings together the region’s two dominant poker media brands.

“Firstly, we’d like to thank the advertisers, subscribers, readers and contributors who’ve supported Bluff over the past three years,” Callander said.

“The final edition of Bluff merely marks the ‘end of the beginning’ for poker media in this country. Combining the resources of Bluff and PokerNews/PokerNetwork will allow us to build these media properties while developing a new range of features.

“We’re excited by the opportunities to build on the foundations established by both brands and establishing PokerNetwork as the preeminent poker media organisation in this region.”

PokerNews (Australia, Asia & Pacific) magazine will continue to be published bi-monthly, with plans for monthly and Asian-language editions from early-2010.

Current Subscribers please note: all current subscribers will receive the upcoming September edition of PokerNews as a bonus edition to their subscription. Subscriptions will then be honoured with the PokerNews magazine going forward.

All goods are still available for purchase online and will also be available at www.pokernetwork.com
